About Our Watercolors

What are your watercolors made of?

​

Our watercolors are crafted from natural, non-toxic pigments blended with a binding medium that includes:

  • Distilled water

  • Glycerine

  • Honey

  • Gum Arabic

  • Clover oil

We use earth, crystal, and plant-based pigments and avoid toxic materials like cadmium, cobalt, lead, and mercury.

Are your metallic watercolors high-quality?

​

Yes! Our metallic watercolors feature:

  • High pigment density for full coverage in one stroke

  • Lightfast properties (no fixative needed)

  • A radiant, shimmering finish perfect for traditional and modern art

Lightfastness & Durability

​

Are your watercolors lightfast? What is their rating?

Many core colors are lightfast, but ratings vary due to:

  • Differences in testing methods

  • Environmental factors (sunlight, humidity, etc.)

  • Mineral content in water

Note: Plant-based pigments are typically not lightfast. Check individual color descriptions for details.

What size are your watercolor pans? How much paint do they hold?

  • Standard half-pan: 1.9cm x 1.6cm x 0.9cm (≈2ml)

  • Hexagon pan: 1.9cm x 1.6cm x 1cm (≈2.3ml)

Each pan is fully topped for maximum value.

Are your paints safe for children?

While our pigments are cosmetic-grade and free of microplastics, we recommend:

  • Supervising young children

  • Keeping paints out of reach (choking hazard)

All ingredients meet food-grade purity standards.
